Glory 1989

Glory tells a beatiful and intense story about the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry which was the first formal unit of the US Army to be made up entirely of African American men under the American Civil War. This is by far Matthew Brodericks best movie and shows the true potential of this actor in his portraying of Colonel Robert Gould Shaw. Also very good performances from Morgan Freeman, Cary Elwes and specially Denzel Waschington which won his first Oscar for his role as Trip in this movie. A well done movie with some great scenes and  beatiful escalation-scenes that lead up to the final battle. I really liked it and it is  currently in 18th place in my top movie-favourites list.
