Suicide Squad 2016

Suicide Squad is the second big superhero movie from DC to come out this year. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice came out in march and was not really good. This movie had some reshooting to lighten the seemingly dark mood. This results in quite a few scenes which seems unnatural and a lot of forces humour. Suicide Squad tries to be a little like Guardians of the Galaxy but feels a lot like Batman v Superman, because you get the impression that there is several movies crammed into one. And the marketing of the Joker for this movie is false advertising, because he is in so few scenes and doesn’t influences the story. And to be totally honest, I didn’t really care for Jared Letos performance that much. The chemistry between the cast is good, specially from Margot Robbie, Will Smith and suprisingly Jai Courtney, but the story is not really interesting and the structure of the movie is a bit chaos. I’ll have to say that I liked Ben Afflecks Batman better here than in Batman v Superman. I expected more from David Ayer who has made some pretty good movies like End of Watch (2012) and Fury (2014)

Score: 6/10
